Yandex has started leasing cars for cab drivers, and RBC has learned about the plans of sporting goods retailer Decathlon to sell its business in Russia – these and other important news for Wednesday morning, January 25, in our daily review.

In “Yandex.Taxi” recognized the success of the experiment on leasing cars and is launching a full-fledged company in this direction. The aggregator has already offered up to 10 thousand Russian and Chinese cars to taxi fleets for leasing, RBC writes. The services will be provided on behalf of LLC “Fleet”, established by the Russian “Yandex” in mid-2021. The company last year received the necessary regulatory approvals for core activities, in particular, got registered with Rosfinmonitoring, but still operates without a brand.

One of the world’s largest retailers of sporting goods – the French network Decathlon – has begun the search for a buyer for assets in Russia. About it writes RBC with reference to two sources in large retail chains and two sources in consulting companies. Decathlon expects to sell the entire business, said three interlocutors, one interlocutor believes that the retailer is ready to separately sell its real estate.

Microsoft shares jumped 5.26% to $254.79 in after-market trading. “Vimpelcom” (operates under the brand “Beeline”) filed a lawsuit with the Arbitration Court of Moscow, in which it challenges the decision of the Central Bank on the procedure for the implementation of presidential decrees on the obligations on bonds of foreign investors. The court accepted the claim for proceedings, and scheduled a preliminary hearing on the case for February 13, as follows from the data of the Arbitration Case File (CAD). The plaintiff was denied interim measures on its application – Vimpelcom asked the court to suspend the challenged paragraph of the Central Bank’s clarifications.

Gazprom (MCX:GAZP) has withdrawn almost €2 billion in cash from the accounts of its joint ventures with Wintershall Dea, Wintershall Dea CEO Mario Mehren told German newspaper Börsen-Zeitung, the Financial Times reports. According to him, the Russian gas monopoly simply “emptied” the company’s joint accounts.
