Broker Tinkoff Investments (LON:TCSq) has reduced the commission on deals with options five times. From January 30, the commission on transactions with options will be 0.4 rubles for each option, RBC reports with reference to the broker’s press service.

Options are contracts that give the investor the right to buy or sell the underlying asset at a certain moment at a predetermined price. In premium options, the investor pays a premium – the option price – once. Its size depends on the demand for the option and the value of the underlying asset – a share.

Last November, Tinkoff Investments became the first broker to offer retail investors a new instrument for the Russian market – stock options – in cooperation with the Moscow Exchange. Trading in premium stock options started on November 9.
