The U.S. aircraft concern Boeing has stopped purchasing Russian titanium.

“Titanium reserves and a network of alternative suppliers allow Boeing to ensure uninterrupted production of civil aircraft,” the company’s press service said (quoted by TASS).

A Boeing spokesman noted in a commentary to The Wall Street Journal that the company gets about one-third of its titanium from Russia and acquires the rest from the United States, Japan, China and Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Boeing said that after the start of Russia’s military special operation in Ukraine, the company closed its centers in Moscow and Kiev and stopped sending aircraft parts to Russian airlines.
