Finance Minister Anton Siluanov has said that Russia is interested in foreign companies continuing to work in the country. He said this in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“Of course, the departure of these companies from our market is mutually disadvantageous to no one, and hits foreign companies, and, of course, affects the work of our economy as well. That’s why we are interested in the companies continuing to work,” he said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov also spoke about this earlier. According to him, foreign companies made decisions on whether and to what extent to continue operations in Russia, based on, among other things, problems with logistics.

“Therefore, we assume that a significant part of the business, having reconfigured these chains, will return to work in Russia, because our market has not gone anywhere, companies have been earning here for quite a long time, there was a profitable business in our country, and this gives us reason to hope that the situation will normalize,” Interfax quoted him as saying.
