Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has announced that he is canceling the mask regime in the city. According to the mayor, such a decision was made due to the “stable improvement of the epidemiological situation”.

Also in Moscow, mandatory anti-vaccine measures at enterprises and organizations, such as regular measurement of workers’ body temperature, installation of dividing partitions at workplaces, etc., are abolished.

The requirement for mandatory wearing of masks had been in effect in Moscow since spring 2020. A drop in COVID-19 incidence began in Russia in March, when fewer than 100,000 infected people per day were detected.
