The UK government has extended sanctions against entrepreneurs and companies from Russia, the British Foreign Ministry said in a notification.

The UK has added more than 200 companies and individuals to the sanctions list. LUKOIL (MCX:LKOH) head Vagit Alekperov, Sistema chairman Vladimir Yevtushenkov and Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Ukrainian party Opposition Platform – For Life (OPZZh) have fallen under the sanctions.

The sanctions were also imposed on businessman Suleiman Kerimov’s son Said Kerimov, the wife of Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, former Russian Railways head Vladimir Yakunin, Gazprombank, Otkritie Bank, Rossiya Bank and SOGAZ.

In addition, the blacklist includes Vladimir Bogdanov, CEO of Surgutneftegaz (MCX:SNGS), Sergey Fursenko, vice president of Gazprombank, and Pavel Ezubov (described as Oleg Deripaska’s cousin and longtime partner).

The assets of all those sanctioned will be frozen. It is also forbidden to conduct transactions with them.
