Italian retail sales in March 2022 declined 0.5% from the previous month, when the figure showed an increase of 0.7%, data from Italy’s state-run statistical office Istat showed.

On a year-on-year basis, retail sales rose 5.6%.

Food sales for March were unchanged, while non-food sales were down 0.8%. In annual terms, food sales decreased by 0.5%, non-food sales increased by 11.6%.
