The U.S. Department of Commerce has released a list of 71 entities from Russia and Belarus subject to U.S. export restrictions.

A document published in the Federal Register states that the U.S. Department of Commerce is amending the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), adding 71 entities to the list of organizations subject to trade restrictions.

“These entities act against U.S. national security and foreign policy interests,” the document says.

The list, in particular, includes Gazprom Neft Shelf and Biological Synthesis Systems-SBS LLC.

Some organizations fell under sanctions “for acquiring and attempting to acquire goods from the United States to support the Russian armed forces.” Among them are the Russian Federal Nuclear Center – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF), which is part of Rosatom, the Kharkevich Institute of Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Almaz Central Naval Design Bureau, the Rubin Central Design Bureau of Marine Technology, the Ilyushin Aviation Complex, and the S.V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex. S.V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex, A.S. Yakovlev Experimental Design Bureau”.

The list also included the Russian Defense Ministry’s Main Directorate for Deep Sea Research, the Design Bureau of Chemical Machine Building (KBKhM), the Sapsan research and production center, the Russian telecommunications company Voentelecom, and the Moscow Institute of Electromechanics and Automation (MIEA).
