Every fourth Russian expects his or her wealth to increase in the coming year, according to the data of a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), published on the official website of the sociological center.

A quarter of Russians (26%) are sure that within the next year they have reason to expect an improvement in their financial situation, among young people of 18-30 years of age 42% of respondents have such expectations,

17% of citizens believe that within the next year their income will be lower than it is now, the most pessimistic in this regard are respondents 46-60 years old (20%), say sociologists.

More than a third of Russians (37%) are sure that in the coming year their financial situation will not change much, among respondents over 60 years of age this share is 42%.

According to the FOM, every fourth (25%) finds it difficult to assess the prospects of their financial situation for this period.

The all-Russian survey was conducted on May 27-29, 2022 among 1,500 respondents aged 18 and older in 104 settlements of the Russian Federation, in 53 regions.
