Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Corporation (NYSE:BRKb) opened 3 new positions for the third quarter, according to a filing with the SEC.

The 3 new stocks that Buffett’s company opened positions in are:

Warren Buffett’s largest new position is in shares of semiconductor maker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE:TSM): more than 60 million shares were purchased for nearly $4.4 billion, based on Monday’s closing price. As a result, shares of Taiwan Semiconductor jumped more than 6% after the close of trading on this news.

Another new position is shares of Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (NYSE:LPX): 5,795,906 shares.

Finally, Jefferies Financial Group Inc (NYSE:JEF) with a new position of 433,558 shares. Shares of Louisiana-Pacific jumped more than 10% following the news of the acquisition. Jefferies shares gained more than 5%.

Analysts’ views on these stocks are generally in line with Buffett himself. As for Taiwan Semiconductor, 11 of the 13 analysts following the stock recommend buying it, while the other two have a hold recommendation. The analysts’ average target of $109.37 implies a potential upside of 50.23% from yesterday’s closing price of the stock.

For Lousiana-Pacific Corp, analysts are more cautious, with an average target of $66.67 and a potential upside of 13.19%.

Finally, for Jefferies, the picture is the same as for Louisiana-Pacific, with a fair value of $18.14, implying more than 30% upside potential.

As for the other positions in Buffett’s conglomerate, Berkshire added Chevron Corp (NYSE:NYSE:CVX) and Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:NYSE:OXY) to its stock. At the end of the quarter, it owned 165,359,318 and 194,351,650 shares of each company, respectively.

It also increased its holding in Paramount Global Class B (NASDAQ:PARA) from 78,421,645 shares to 91,216,510 shares.

Berkshire maintained its stake in Apple Inc (NASDAQ:NASDAQ:AAPL), valued at $133 billion and in its second largest stake in Bank of America Corp (NYSE:NYSE:BAC) worth about $38 billion.
