Stock indices of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) are declining. Traders are waiting for the meetings of major central banks this week. In the evening on Wednesday the results of the two-day meeting will be summarized by the Federal Reserve System (FRS) of the USA, the Bank of England and the European Central Bank (ECB) will announce decisions on monetary policy on Thursday.

In addition, the U.S. Department of Labor on Tuesday will release data on the dynamics of consumer prices in November, which is closely watched by market participants.

The coronavirus situation in China also remains in the spotlight amid Beijing’s easing of a number of strict restrictions in the country.

The value of Japanese Nikkei 225 by 8:18 Moscow time decreased by 0.2%.

Among the leaders of quotes decrease among the index components are shares of IT-company Rakuten Group Inc. (TYO:4755) (-2.7%), optics manufacturer Nikon Corp. (-2.4%) and metallurgical Pacific Metals Co. Ltd. (-2.3%).

Also getting cheaper are shares of technology companies Tokyo Electron Ltd. (TYO:8035) by 0.8%, Advantest Corp. (TYO:6857) by 0.9%, Renesas Electronics Corp. – by 0.7%.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index was down 2% by 8:23 Moscow time. Chinese Shanghai Composite by this time fell by 0.6%.

Leaders of the fall at trading in Hong Kong are shares of real estate developers Country Garden Services Holdings Co. Ltd. (-16.6%) and Longfor Group Holdings Ltd. (-10.5%), as well as chip maker Sunny Optical Technology Group Co. Ltd. (-10.6%).

South Korean index Kospi by 8:16 Moscow time fell by 0.6%.

Quotes of securities of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of chips and electronics Samsung Electronics Co. (KS:005930) are down 1.3%, shares of automaker Hyundai Motor (KS:005380) are growing by 0.3%.

The value of the Australian index S&P/ASX 200 decreased by 0.45%.

Stock quotes of the world’s largest mining companies BHP and Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) fell by 1.45% and 0.7%, respectively.
