According to a Sunday statement by Sam Bankman-Fried (NYSE:TWTR), founder and ex-director of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, he is set to testify before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee this week after he finishes examining and analyzing the events that led to his firm’s collapse, Reuters writes.

The U.S. House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing in December to investigate the events that led to the FTX bankruptcy and wants explanations from the companies and individuals involved. Bankman-Fried was invited to appear at the hearing on December 13 by committee chair Maxine Waters.

The former director of the crypto exchange himself rejected the assumptions in fraud.

Recall: FTX declared bankruptcy in November, and Bankman-Fried was accused of transferring customer deposits to a subsidiary trading firm Alameda Research, and in just 72 hours about $6 billion was withdrawn from the exchange.
