Belarus has formed the macroeconomic conditions for GDP growth of 3.8% in 2023, said Deputy Economy Minister Dmitri Yaroshevich, quoted by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

“The necessary macroeconomic conditions have been formed in order to achieve the parameter set by the head of state – GDP growth of 3.8% in 2023,” said the deputy minister.

In particular, according to Yaroshevich, “we have managed to solve many logistical problems, and we will continue to reorient commodity flows to the markets of friendly countries, primarily Russian, where there are many niches for our products.

He also noted the growth of financial performance of Belarusian enterprises.

“Return on sales at the end of 11 months (January-November 2022) in the economy as a whole amounted to 8.9%. Revenue is growing faster than the cost of production. As a consequence, the number and share of loss-making organizations, as well as the debt burden are decreasing. Its level in November compared to the beginning of 2022 decreased by 3.5 percentage points”, – said the Deputy Minister.
