On Saturday, February 12, the bitcoin network hashrate hit an all-time high above 248 EH/s. Over the course of the day, the figure increased by more than 30%, according to Glassnode.

The hashrate graph of the first cryptocurrency, smoothed by a 7-day moving average, has been on an upward trajectory for the past three months. During this period, the figure has risen by almost 50% to 201.36 EH/s.

In January 2022, the complexity of digital gold mining reached a record high of 26.64 trillion. During the last recalculation on February 4, the value increased insignificantly and amounted to 26.69 trillion.

The growth of the total computing power of the network indicates the increasing stability of the blockchain and indicates the development of its infrastructure. The indicator has fully recovered after the “Great Migration” of Chinese miners.

On February 6, the hash rate of the Ethereum network also updated the historical maximum above 971 TH/s. The graph of the indicator, smoothed by the 7-day moving average, is at the peak level – on February 12, the value exceeded 955 TH/s.

Recall that in January 2022, the revenue of bitcoin miners amounted to $1.21 billion, which is 15% lower than the December figure. The share of commissions in the revenues of miners of the first cryptocurrency fell to a record level – 1.15% or $13.9 million.
