Swedish mobile network equipment manufacturer Ericsson has decided to suspend its business in Russia for an indefinite period of time, Kommersant reports. At the end of February, the company stopped supplying products to Russia. According to the publication’s sources, Ericsson’s share in the Russian telecommunications market is up to 20%.

“At the end of February, Ericsson suspended all deliveries to customers in Russia. In light of recent events and the European Union sanctions, the company will now suspend business with customers in Russia for an indefinite period of time,” the company said in a statement published on its website.

It is also specified that Ericsson is negotiating with customers and partners on the indefinite suspension of the affected business. The company explained that the priority is to focus on the safety and well-being of Ericsson employees in Russia, they will be sent on paid leave.
