The Russian division of Google will soon be without employees, writes The Wall Street Journal. Most of the company’s employees have already left Russia and will continue working in its office in Dubai, while others preferred to stay in the country by quitting the company.

A division of Alphabet (Google’s parent company) began offering employees to move from Russia after a court seized Google’s bank account in the country in late March, and bailiffs filed a case in May to enforce a fine against the company.

This made it impossible to operate the Russian office, including retaining employees, paying their labor, suppliers and contractors, as well as meeting other financial obligations, Forbes writes, citing a Google spokesperson.
