The CEO of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance Changpeng Zhao announced today on Twitter about the hacking of the exchange. Hackers managed to attack the bridge between blockchains and steal about $100 million in Binance Coin currency, but now the situation has been resolved, writes Business Insider.

Zhao was quick to reassure customers of the exchange, writing that “The problem has now been resolved. Your funds are safe. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide further updates accordingly.”

Zhao pointed out that the damage is estimated to be about $100 million or a quarter of the last BNB (Binance Coin) burned.

About $7 million of the stolen funds were immediately frozen. Meanwhile, the BNB chain is under maintenance and all deposits and withdrawals through the BNB chain have been temporarily suspended.
