Investments in fixed capital in the capital in January – March this year exceeded 700 billion rubles, which is 4.8 percent more year-on-year.

“According to Mosstat data, investments in fixed capital in Moscow in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to 713 billion rubles, which is 4.8 percent more than last year. The capital accounts for 17.8 percent of the all-Russian volume of investments. According to statistics, Moscow companies invest most of all in machinery and equipment – 37.6 percent of the total volume of investments in fixed capital,” – said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov, who is quoted by the press service of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital government.

According to him, the share of investments in the construction of buildings and structures and land improvement amounted to 29.7%, in the construction of residential buildings and premises – 16.4%, in the creation of intellectual property – 14.9%.

The growth of the volume of investments in fixed capital of Moscow is conditioned, among other things, by the measures of support provided by the city to business. Companies that have received the status of technopark, industrial complex, technopark anchor resident can reduce the regional tax burden by 17-25%. The volume of investments of companies with these statuses over the last five years amounted to 112.8 billion rubles. A similar support mechanism is in place for new investment projects. Today, 137 Moscow companies are entitled to various benefits: 64 industrial complexes, 42 technoparks, 18 anchor residents, 13 investment priority projects.
