The daily increase in new cases of coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation amounted to almost 2.9 thousand cases, more than 500 people were hospitalized, 43 patients with COVID-19 died, follows from the data of the operational headquarters, released on Monday.

“As of July 4, 2,866 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the Russian Federation. The number of hospitalizations for the day amounted to 568 people and increased by 11.4% compared to the previous 24 hours,” the operative headquarters said.

The increase in the number of hospitalizations occurred in 26 subjects of the Russian Federation, the decrease in the number of hospitalizations was noted in 45 regions of the country. The situation remained unchanged in 14 subjects, specified in the operative headquarters.

Over the past day 43 people died of coronavirus infection, the previous day the headquarters reported about 47 dead.

Compared to the last 24 hours, when 3 thousand 080 sick people were registered in the Russian Federation, the number of new cases of COVID-19 infection has slightly decreased.

“2,276 people recovered over the day, or 12.3% less compared to July 3,” the operative headquarters added.

A total of 18 million 442 thousand 625 cases of coronavirus infection, 381 thousand 306 dead and 17 million 869 thousand 964 discharged were registered in Russia during the pandemic.

Moscow

About 330 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Moscow over the past 24 hours, the figure continued to decline, follows from the data of the portal “Stopcoronavirus.rf”.

According to the site, in the past 24 hours in the Russian capital recorded 328 infected. The day before it was reported about the detection of 371 patients with coronavirus, a day earlier – about 396. Thus, the indicator continued its decline after the growth on Saturday.

A week earlier, on June 27, 212 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Moscow. This value has been exceeded this week.

Over the past 24 hours, 109 people with coronavirus were admitted to hospitals in the capital.

Twelve patients with COVID-19 died during 24 hours in Moscow. In total, the pandemic claimed the lives of 44 thousand 195 capital residents.

Recovered from the disease and discharged 228 Muscovites. The total number of citizens who overcame the coronavirus reached 2 million 587 thousand 626.

A day earlier it was reported about 13 deceased and 206 recovered coronavirus patients in Moscow.

The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the Russian capital as of July 4 is 2 million 779 thousand 45.
