The price of the first cryptocurrency can grow by another $500 thousand thanks to the activity of institutionalizers. This opinion was expressed by Ark Invest founder Katie Wood in an interview with CNBC, writes cryptocurrency.tech.

According to Katie Wood, such investors are looking for opportunities unrelated to traditional asset classes and are moving into cryptocurrency “right now.”

“The reason this is happening, to some extent, is because it’s a new asset class with different correlations than other assets,” Wood emphasized.

If institutional managers allocate about 5% of their portfolio to bitcoin, that would add $500,000 to its current price, she allowed. “Institutional managers should be looking at new asset classes with low correlations, which is the key to diversification and the holy grail in terms of asset allocation,” the Ark Invest founder concluded.
