The head of the Accounts Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, will leave his post. This he reported in his Telegram-channel.

“In total, I spent about 25 years in the public sector. Now I would like to focus on large projects that are related to the development in a broad sense of private initiatives, but at the same time have a significant effect for people,” Kudrin wrote.

According to Kudrin, he has already submitted a resignation letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier it became known that the Federation Council received Putin’s submission on the early release of Kudrin from the post of head of the Accounts Chamber. The budget Committee of the Council of Federation will consider this issue on November 29. The Federation Council may consider Kudrin’s resignation at a plenary session on Wednesday, November 30. Moreover, the media reported that Kudrin will move to “Yandex (MCX:YNDX)” and will deal with the division of the Russian and international business of the IT-company.

The post of the head of the Accounts Chamber may be taken by the first deputy speaker of the State Duma, Alexander Zhukov, RBC wrote, citing unnamed federal officials and sources close to the presidential administration. According to the newspaper’s sources, Kudrin himself suggested Zhukov as the main candidate, “although there are other options as well.”
