The Russian economy should become independent, which will be the main response to anti-Russian sanctions. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“The main response to anti-Russian sanctions will be the results of our common efforts: these are jobs, free development of their business and industry, independence of our economy. The overall success of the country is through the success of each person,” Mishustin said.

The number of restrictions against Russia exceeds those ever imposed on any other country, Mishustin said. In total, he said, there are more than 6,000 sanctions. At the same time, he said, such sanctions were not applied even during the darkest years of the Cold War.

“Everything possible is being done to disperse inflation, to create a deficit of consumer goods, to create social tension,” said the Prime Minister.

Mishustin characterized the situation in the economy as “difficult but workable.” According to him, it cannot be said that the restrictive measures do not create difficulties, the situation is serious. However, he added, Russia is obliged to take advantage of the “historically unique space of opportunities” that has arisen due to the bans.
