The monetary base in narrow definition in Russia amounted to Br14 trillion 892.4 billion on April 1, reported the press service of the Bank of Russia.

March 25, the monetary base in Russia amounted to Br15 trillion Br344.9 billion. Thus, it has decreased by 2.95%, or Br452.5 billion over the period.

The monetary base in the narrow definition includes cash issued in circulation by the Bank of Russia (including cash balances in the cash offices of credit institutions) and balances on the accounts of required reserves on funds in national currency attracted by credit institutions, deposited with the Central Bank.
