In Russia, 171,905 cases of coronavirus infection were detected over the past 24 hours, according to the operational headquarters. The indicator has decreased compared to Sunday, when more than 180,000 new cases were detected.

609 people died during the 24-hour period. 55,600 people recovered (minus 6.5% from the day before). The rate of morbidity in Russia per 100 thousand population for the past week increased by 63.04% compared to the previous week.

During the day 10 841 people were hospitalized across the country, it’s 15% less than a day earlier. At the same time, the operative staff notes that the rate of hospitalization per 100 thousand people for the past week increased by 30.6% compared to the previous week.

The leadership in the number of sick people belongs to Moscow and St. Petersburg, where 15,442 and 13,372 new cases of COVID-19 were detected, respectively.
