A third of Russians (33%) have used loans in the past six months, most often taken them fellow citizens aged 35-44 years (38%), according to the survey data of the Research Center of the portal SuperJob.ru.

The results of the survey, published on Tuesday on the portal, show that the higher the income, the greater the desire to take a loan: among respondents earning per month less than 50 thousand rubles, such was about a third (32%), among fellow citizens with incomes 50 000 – 79 999 rubles, this proportion amounted to 36% of respondents respectively.

In turn, two-thirds of Russians (67%) have not taken loans in the last six months, noted in SuperJob.ru.

At the same time, when asked about the attitude to loans:

– almost every eighth (13%) survey participant answered that from his point of view taking a loan means “a great opportunity to buy what you want”,

– almost two thirds (61%) believe that taking a loan is “a direct road to the debt pit”.

The survey was conducted from December 21, 2022 to January 9, 2023 among 2.5 thousand respondents aged 18 and older, representing the economically active population of Russia, in 518 settlements of the Russian Federation in all federal districts.
