Natural gas futures prices rose during the U.S. session on Monday.

At the New York Mercantile Exchange, natural gas futures for delivery in May are trading at $6.61 per million Btu, up 5.21% at the time of writing this commentary.

The session high was $/mmBtu. At the time of writing, natural gas found support at $6.000 and resistance at $6.652.

The USD index futures, which shows the ratio of the U.S. dollar to a basket of six major currencies, rose 0.22% to trade at $99.97.

As for other commodities traded on the NYMEX, WTI crude oil futures for delivery in May fell 3.94% to settle at $94.39 per barrel, while heating oil futures for delivery in May fell 1.10% to settle at $3.28 per gallon.
