Germany is preparing an action plan, which it will implement if Russia decides to cut off gas supplies. This is reported by Reuters with reference to its own sources.

One of the possible measures is rationing of gas consumption. According to Reuters, this would mean a change in the current policy, according to which in such cases companies are the first to fall under restrictions.

Reuters interlocutors also say that Berlin will support additional loans and guarantees to companies involved in the energy sector to support them in the face of rising prices.

In late March, the Federal Republic of Germany introduced the first of three levels of the gas supply emergency warning regime. It implies a maximum reduction in gas consumption and monitoring of the situation on the gas market.
