Potential deadlines for postponing some projects of Rosseti PJSC amid difficulties with equipment may reach a year, but there is no question of canceling them, the company’s head Andrei Ryumin told reporters on the sidelines of SPIEF.

“All planned projects will be realized. There are no risks of disruption. But there is a probability of a shift in the implementation dates. The reason is clear – a number of Western companies have refused to supply equipment,” the top manager said when asked about potential project postponements. “That is why we need time to make arrangements with alternative suppliers, for example, from Asia. We are now conducting relevant negotiations,” he said.

“According to preliminary estimates, within a year,” Ryumin said when asked about the timing of postponements. He explained that the company, when implementing its projects, uses equipment with a production period of less than a year.

At the same time, Ryumin noted that large consumers themselves are experiencing problems with equipment. “A number of large consumers also say to us: let’s shift the project deadlines by a year – two years, because we ourselves are starting the process of redesigning using alternative equipment,” he said, without naming these projects.

According to the top manager, the share of imports in purchases for new projects does not exceed 10%, mainly high-voltage equipment, as well as communication systems and telemechanics.
