The volume of gas production in Russia in January-April 2022 decreased by 0.4% compared to the same period of 2021 and amounted to 261.42 billion cubic meters, according to the operational summary of the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex.

In April, the Russian Federation produced 61.15 billion cubic meters of gas (a 5.2% drop compared to the same month last year).

The data on Gazprom are not published separately by the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex. They are included as “estimated” in the production volume of “other subsoil users”, which in January-April 2022 produced 184.76 billion cubic meters of gas (42.86 billion cubic meters of gas – in April).

NOVATEK, the largest independent gas company, produced 26.76 billion cubic meters of gas in the first four months of this year (6.35 billion cubic meters in April). PSA operators have produced 10.87 bcm (2.47 bcm) since the beginning of the year.
