Half of Russians (50%) note that compared to the beginning of May the most significant price increase among food products was for sugar, according to the data of the survey of the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), published on the official website of the sociological center.

In addition, as the results of the survey show, 46% of fellow citizens have observed a noticeable rise in prices for meat and poultry over the past 4 weeks. 43% of respondents noted a rise in prices for milk and dairy products.

A noticeable rise in prices for vegetable oil, as well as fish and seafood are noted by 39% of respondents, for cereals and pasta – 37% of respondents, for fruit and vegetable products – 35% of survey participants, say sociologists.

Also, according to FOM, about a noticeable rise in prices for alcoholic beverages over the past 4 weeks said every fifth (20%) of Russians.

The all-Russian survey was conducted on May 27-29, 2022 among 1 thousand 500 respondents aged 18 and older in 104 settlements of the Russian Federation in 53 regions.
