A significant rise in sugar prices over the past four weeks has been noticed by 40% of Russians, according to the data of a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM), published on the official website of the sociological center.

The results of the survey show that, according to 39% of Russians, meat and poultry have become noticeably more expensive over the past month, a significant rise in the price of milk and dairy products is noted by 38% of respondents.

Bread and bakery products over the past four weeks have risen significantly in the opinion of about a third of citizens (32%), a significant rise in prices for vegetable oil noted 31% of Russians, for cereals and pasta – 30% of survey participants, for fruit and vegetable products – 27% of respondents, for eggs – more than a quarter of respondents (26%), say sociologists.

According to the FOM, 14% of Russians, or every seventh, have observed a noticeable rise in alcohol prices over the past month.

The all-Russian survey was conducted June 10-12, 2022 among 1500 respondents aged 18 years and older in 104 settlements of the Russian Federation, in 53 regions.
