Ireland’s Ryanair Holdings Plc, Europe’s largest discount airline, posted a net profit in the third quarter of fiscal 2023 and reaffirmed its outlook for the current fiscal year as a whole.

The company said in a press release that its net profit for the three months ended Dec. 31 was 211 million euros, compared with a loss of 96 million euros in the same period a year earlier.

Revenue more than doubled to €2.31 billion from €1.47 million.

Last quarter, Ryanair carried 38.4 million passengers compared to 31.1 million a year earlier, with the airplane load factor rising to 93% from 84%.

The company still expects to post a net profit of €1.325-1.425 billion and carry 168 million passengers for the current fiscal year.

Meanwhile, the fourth fiscal quarter is likely to be a loss-making one as this year’s Catholic Easter will be celebrated in April instead of March, Ryanair management warned.

Ryanair’s capitalization has risen by about a third in the past three months to 17.67 billion euros.
