SPX Exchange is going to hold IPOs of five companies – several initial public offerings are scheduled for 2022. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to sources in the press service of the platform.

The exchange did not specify the names of potential issuers, but RBC Investments’ press service added that some of them belong to the category of “new economy” companies that choose an innovative business model. The choice of innovation-oriented companies is based on analyzing the composition of private investors’ portfolios.

The Russian diamond mining company ALMAR announced its intention to hold an IPO on the SPX in March-April 2022. It is going to sell 15% of its shares and may become the second public company in the diamond mining sector in Russia after Alrosa.

In 2021, the exchange held only one IPO – it placed 15.2 million of its own shares, or 13.3% of its share capital, at the upper end of the price range, raising $175 million.
