The issue of the Russian government providing feedback on the draft law allowing to legalize cryptocurrency mining in the country has “stalled” so far, there are disagreements not only with the Bank of Russia, but also with law enforcement agencies, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev told reporters on the sidelines of the State Duma. About it writes the agency Prime.

“No, stalled again,” he said, answering a question about whether there is an understanding when the Cabinet will give feedback on the draft law on mining.

“There again we have disagreements there. Now not only with the Central Bank, but with law enforcement too. A number of meetings are planned on this matter, I hope to agree on something,” explained the Deputy Minister.

In early December 2022 Moiseyev told reporters that the Central Bank of Russia has developed a new position on the regulation of cryptocurrencies – the Central Bank is actually in favor of total licensing of cryptocurrency mining, but the Ministry of Finance does not agree with this position.
