The United States, following the United Kingdom, has imposed sanctions against the head of Sberbank German Gref. This is reported on the website of the U.S. Ministry of Finance.

The new sanctions list also includes 328 members of the State Duma, as well as the lower house of parliament itself and several dozen Russian defense companies and enterprises. Any transactions with gold belonging to the Russian Central Bank also came under the sanctions.

Earlier, Britain imposed sanctions on 59 Russian individuals and companies. Gazprombank, Rosselkhozbank, Alfa-Bank, SMP-Bank also fell under the restrictions. Herman Gref and Oleg Tinkov also fell under the sanctions.
