Tinkoff Bank plans to increase commissions on SWIFT-transfers from June 6, the bank said in its official Telegram channel. Earlier, announcing these changes, the credit organization noted that SWIFT transfers are becoming more complex, requiring many new procedures from the bank.

From June 6, the commission of Tinkoff Bank will be 1% of the amount of SWIFT-transfer (minimum – $30 or 30 pounds, maximum – $200 or 200 pounds). Right now, this fee is $15 or 10 pounds. With a Tinkoff Premium or Tinkoff Private subscription, transfers are now free; from June 6, the bank will introduce a 0.5% transfer fee (minimum – $15 or 15 pounds, maximum – $100 or 100 pounds).

Tinkoff Bank suspended SWIFT transfers in euros in early May because of the increased time it takes to complete them.

Now, in fact, the SWIFT system is now the primary method of transferring funds. Although Tinkoff Bank notes that it is possible to transfer money from another country to a Russian bank in two ways – via SWIFT and from card to card, the latter method works only from Belarus with the card of the payment system “Belkart” and from Armenia with the card of the payment system “ArKa”. SWIFT transfers could be made in dollars, euros and pounds sterling.
