Representatives of Tinkoff Bank reacted to the introduction of a new package of sanctions by the UK, writes RBC. Employees of the company emphasized that the sanctions are aimed at businessman Oleg Tinkov as an individual.

The bank also noted that he does not own a controlling stake in Tinkoff Group and Tinkoff Bank, and therefore the restrictions imposed do not put pressure on the work of the bank.

“We confirm that Mr. Tinkov is included in the UK sanctions list. The sanctions affect Mr. Tinkov as an individual. Mr. Tinkov has not been a controlling shareholder of Tinkoff Group or Tinkoff Bank for a long time, nor is he a decision maker or a person with significant influence over the Group companies. These sanctions do not affect the activities of Tinkoff Group and Tinkoff Bank”, – said in the press service of the credit organization.
