Gas transportation through the Turkish Stream gas pipeline system has resumed after scheduled preventive maintenance, Gazprom (MCX:GAZP) said.

“Scheduled preventive maintenance works on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, scheduled for the period from June 21 to June 28, 2022, have been completed. Gas transportation resumed today at 20:00 Moscow time,” the Russian company wrote.

“Turkish Stream” is an export gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea. The design capacity is 31.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. “Turkish Stream” is designed to supply gas to Turkey and the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe by transit through Turkish territory.

The pipeline consists of two strings; each of the strings is capable of pumping up to 41.7 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Before the repair, the mainline pumped up to 34 million cubic meters of gas per day to Europe.
