Twitter has added Ethereum address support for its mobile donation sending service. The company said, “Starting today, Twitter users can add Ethereum addresses to the Tips service.

We continue to expand our list of payment providers to make Tips available to as many people as possible, regardless of their location.” The option comes a few months after Twitter added the ability to send donations in bitcoins using the Lighting Network. Unlike bitcoins, direct connection of wallets is not yet available on the Ethereum network.

To send a donation, you have to manually copy the wallet address. Earlier, Twitter added the ability to authenticate non-fungible tokens (NFT) for customers of the paid Twitter Blue service.
