Ukraine has already spent $2.45bn of the $2.7bn received from the IMF. The government plans to use all the funds this year. The unused balance is 178219820 SDR.

Next week they will be received by the State Treasury Service and will be spent. This is about $250 million. We shall remind you that on August 23, Ukraine received $2.7 billion from the IMF. The Finance Ministry converted almost half of the total amount into dollars and euros to make the September 29 repayment of $1bn Eurobonds issued five years ago under US guarantees.

However, in its Economic and Financial Policy Memorandum with the IMF, released in November, Ukraine said that it intended to keep half of the $2.7bn received as part of the SDR allocation as a buffer against future risks.
